Peace on Earth

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And mild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along th'unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men
And in despair I bowed my head
There is no peace on earth I said
For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth good will to men
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead nor does he sleep
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth good will to men.
Merry Christmas, Diane

That is so beautiful, the picture and the words of the song.Sometimes it seems as if there is no peace, but in Jesus we do have real and lasting peace.
Blessings,Ruth

Hope you had a wonderful day today, Diane. We did!!! The sun actually came out here and it was a tad warmer...

Love the carol you quoted. We have several beautiful arrangements of it that we listen to during Christmas.

Hugs,
Betsy
