Rereading Favorites

Maybe you do it too. I always try to have some unread books and magazines waiting for me but occasionally I'm down to reading the catalogs that come in the mail. That's when I go through my old books and reread one of them. Another time I do this is when I need inspiration for a corner or desktop or just to clean the house. Right now I'm rereading Mary Randolph Carter's For the Love of Old. It's a beautiful book that looks old itself with it's gold lettering and dusty looking cover. It gives new meaning to old - old peeling paint, rusty old metal, old books. You might enjoy it. It's listed on Amazon and Barnes and Nobel as well as some of the used book sites - I like Abebooks. Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

May God bless you, Hugs, Diane

I like to reread books. I usually have a new book or two and an old one on the go - at the moment the old one is O. Henry's short stories.

I see you are a Jan Karon fan too Diane! I loved the Mitford series! Nothing like a good book. :c)

Hi Diane,

Thank you for your nice comment on my blog. I appreciate it very much. Yes, you are welcome to add me to your list. Thank you for the kind thought.

I enjoyed "For the Love of Old" too. Mary Randolph Carter's photographs are always interesting, and I share her love of old things. My very favorite book was her first. I can't recall the name right now, but it is a book she wrote about her family and her family home. You might try to find that one. I think you'll like it.

Best wishes!
