End of the Road

Several years ago we went to a small neighboring town at the foot of the mountains for a town wide garage sale. It was during the time that we owned our store and I drove an old Chevy van. Luckily, because when we got back home that thing was stuffed. One thing that we got was this old wicker couch with horse hair cushions. For $1.00!!! I spray painted it white and covered it with cushions. It was a great place for a nap or just laying there listening to the birds or catching up on the latest decorating magazine. However, the spiders and bugs discovered it, too, and lately every time I sit there something bites me. And it was propped up against the wall to keep it from wobbling. What's more, the windings had all come unwound on the legs. So today out of the blue I decided that we needed to get rid of it. I know that by next summer I'll have found something else wonderful to replace it. However, we sure got our money's worth out of it!!!!

Well now, I'd say you did get your money's worth if you've used it for $1 for the past years! :c)
