Bea and Raymond

Notice the heart made with a lariat and two cowboy hats inside over their names. Tonight we attended a 50th anniversary party for some old friends of my husband. There were at least two hundred people there for the sloppy joes and several kinds of salads as well as anniversary cakes, and beverages of all kinds. After we ate, a cowboy band struck up a country song and Bea and Raymond led everyone on the dance floor with a good old rousing polka.

The couple has been deeply involved in this community in western affairs and the rodeo. So the tables were decorated with cowboy boots filled with bouquets of flowers and sagebrush, a lone star quilt hung on the bandstand along with wagon wheels on each side. When we left, long legged Levi clad guys in cowboy boots were guiding their ladies out onto the dance floor. It was kind of fun to see a lot of people in western dress and western manners. When a couple has been married for 50 years I'd say that's a pretty good reason for a big blowout! It was fun to be a part of it. God bless you, Diane

Celebrating someones 50th anniversary is really special in this day and age.It sounds like a good time was had by all and even you had fun.We are the same as you, mostly stay home at night so when we do go out it's a treat.
Have a great Sunday!
