Yesterday it was 101 degrees and I found this beautiful butterfly in the driveway. It seemed to be at the end of the line. I very gently picked it up without harming it and laid it over the fence. By the time I got around to the other side to get a better look it had completely disappeared. They're so mysterious. Are they happy, are they in pain, are they coming or going, do they talk to one another? I just don't know.
Update: I hesitate to write how bad my sister, Jennie is. We all know and yet it's so hard to say the words. She's still in the hospital. Her liver is completely shot and her kidneys are trying to keep her alive, she's very confused. We wait.
