Visit to Mother

I went to see my mother in the care center today. She's about 36 miles away and I try to get over there every week and a half or so. If I go too often we don't have anything to talk about.
She has quite a few people who drop in to see her and today was no exception. While I was there her hairdresser stopped in with a little girl she takes care of. Her name is Tennessee Elizabeth and she loves mother. I think she mostly wanted to see mother's dolls.
I always bring Rascal with me and he is amazingly well mannered. He loves to go anywhere with me and he likes to go to the care canter but he REALLY likes to leave.
My mom loves to work with beads and has found a little niche among the nurses and care workers making special order lanyards for them. She makes a little money but most of all she feels that she's doing something useful and worthwhile.
Have a safe and sane (well maybe not too sane) 4th.
God bless you, Diane

Your mom looks like such a sweetie Diane. What an expression on her face holding that chubby little hand. So glad you got to visit with her. Have a great 4th yourself!

That is so nice to be able to visit your mother so often. She is a beautiful lady and so glad she is able to do the things she loves.
I get to talk to my Mom once a month on the phone but we are finally going to fly and see the family in 2 weeks time for a few days.
Hope you had a great 4th of July!

I really like the fact that you see your Mother so often. Always, always take a child with you or an animal. They just come alive in the nursing homes when this happens. At there age thay don't usually want to talk much. But bring a child into the room and watch them bloom! I blew the picture up larger and looking at there hands, they are just so relaxed with each other. A perfect fit.
