The Pack Rat

In my profile I mentioned that I had once owned an antique shop. I ran across this picture.
The Pack Rat was the name of the shop and it was an experience that I will never forget. Good and bad. But mostly good. My husband sold appliances in the back part and it was really the thing that kept us afloat. During the time we had the store we were vandalized and they set it on fire and we built it again from the ground up, so we really started the place twice! I had so many customers who turned out to be friends or at least acquaintances who I run into quite often. We shared a lot, laughed a lot and they gave the whole thing it's life. The shop was our second home for 10 1/2 years. Our family was our biggest support system and always believed in us. At least I think they did. I'm sure there were times they wondered. When we quit and sold it, it was time. We were so tired and I think we just gave it everything we had. Oh, I'm the one without the hat. God bless you,
Diane

You always here the saying that there's no such thing as a "small business" and no one I know who has had a business feels as if they are not consumed by running it. I am sure it brought you great joy, as well as heartache. Sometimes, it's just time... :c) Hugs to you Diane.
