Chihuly Glass

My son-in law was doing a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and I visited them a few years ago. My daughter took me to the Gonda Building and said there is some beautiful art here, Warhol, Chihuly glass, and other. I'd never heard of Chihuly glass. After I saw this incredible installation I had trouble even focusing on any of the other stuff. I couldn't get it out of my mind and I still can't It's amazing.

I don't know if this looks like sea creatures or birthday party balloons and streamers. Each one weighs tons and is almost as almost as big as a small car. They hang in the ceiling of the atrium and the light catches every nuance. www.chihuly.com If you haven't had the joy of seeing his work check this out. God bless you, Diane
